UCI Law students have established a wide range of organizations with a focus on such points. In Australia, New Zealand, British Canada, and many colonies in Africa, the common legislation was utilized with none rival. But elsewhere, notably in India, South Africa, and Quebec, allowance had to be made for current authorized methods. In the nineteenth century there were notable experiments in India with codifying the common legislation. Until the twentieth century there was little independence in the legal techniques of the Commonwealth; the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, sitting in London, acted because the supreme court of enchantment for all overseas jurisdictions.

He is on the advisory boards of the SSRN European Private Law Journal, the Netherlands Journal of Legal Philosophy and the Belgian-Dutch Tijdschrift voor Privaatrecht.
