In May 2008, we will launch Oklahoma Humanities, a magazine that will have beautiful color photography; rich, educational content; interviews with leaders in the humanities field; and coverage of festivals, lectures, exhibits, and other humanities events across the state. Our goal is that Oklahoma Humanities will be the source of information on public humanities programming in Oklahoma.
Don’t miss the debut issue of Oklahoma Humanities, which will feature an interview with Mike Klemme, the Official Photographer of the Oklahoma Centennial. Mike spent almost two years photographing Oklahoma in an attempt to capture the land, people, and culture that make our state unique. We’ll ask him about his photographic survey of the state and the insights he gained through the view of his camera lens. The photos you see here and on our Calendar page are just a few of the vast collection Mike assembled. His generous contribution of Oklahoma images is sure to make our magazine a “must see” publication.
Questions regarding Oklahoma Humanities magazine may be directed to Carla Walker, Editor & Director of Communications.
